A group of boys accompanied by Ms Cohen and Mr Campbell, went on a music trip to Ullapool before the Easter holidays. The first stop on the trip was at the House of Bruar, and as the weather was lovely, the boys ate and kicked about a rugby ball. The next stop was to give the boys a chance to spot Nessie on the banks of Loch Ness which seemed to go down well and with much debate! The weather held out and the rest of the journey was in beautiful sunshine, which made the scenery even more stunning.
The group was made very welcome on arrival in Ullapool, and the boys quickly got settled in to their rooms. After a very good rehearsal, everyone headed to dinner in the Hotel where the boys were performing that evening. There was another performance happening in Ullapool that night, and a lot of people had tickets to go and see it; however, many of them said they would come back to see the boys after the show, which they did. This gave the boys an opportunity to perform to a small number of people in for dinner, before things started to get busier. The next morning after breakfast the group visited the Highland Pottery, and had a look around Ullapool before heading off for Inverness, to book into a Folk Festival venue, Hottenany's. Again the audience was quite small because of the time of year, but the organisers of the music were impressed by the group and the boys were more confident in their performance. Outstanding performances were given by Fergus, who deserves a special mention for performing his own compositions.
