Last year, in conjunction with Aimhigher (part of the Higher Education Funding Council for England) and the World Memory Sports Council (WMSC), Inspire Education organised the first UK Schools Memory Championship, which was a great success. The goal of the Memory Championships is to support schools embedding skills which have a direct impact on attainment levels across multiple subjects. Feedback received after last year's event was that all students found the activities fun and easy to use, but most importantly, teachers noticed a marked improvement in the students' beliefs in their ability to learn, memorise and recall information.
This is the first time the Memory Championships have visited a school in Scotland and hopefully the boys will do well in the next part of the competition and go on to the National Final.
