On 6 March pupils from J4, J5, First Form and Second Form were involved in a number of activities for a special 'Green Day' event.  The day was organised by Ms Kane to give pupils' the opportunity to explore and find out more about environmental issues.  Activities included:

Eco Art Attack - creating 3D models of endangered species from recyclable materials.
Eco Rhyme task - pupils wrote a poem about our Eco values including lines on litter picking, waste minimisation, energy use reduction, water use reduction, thinking about transport and pollution, health and well-being and keeping our school grounds clean.
Climate Change Talk - Mr Phillips (father of a J5 pupil) who is a climate change expert came in to talk to the boys about climate change and what we can all do to help.
Litter picking competition - collecting litter that has been dropped on the grounds.

Pupils were actively involved and had a fantastic day, raising £122.21, which will go towards buying equipment needed by the Eco team.

This will help the School work towards achieving a Bronze Eco Schools award.
