run launch

On Tuesday 13 January, cameramen and journalists gathered in the Old Library where boys were joined by Frank Hadden to launch a fundraising campaign for the Great Edinburgh Run which will take place on Sunday 3 May. The aim is to raise £10,000 by taking part in the running event for all abilities.

costellos & haddenPatrick Costello (UVI, pictured with brother Charles and Frank Hadden) has been organising boys to sign up for the run, and, exceeding all his expectations, more than 160 boys have signed up in a bid to raise money for the charity Hearts and Balls, which aims to support those connected with rugby in times of need.

There has been TV and radio coverage of this launch, and you can click here to read the article in the Edinburgh Evening News. It also featured in Tuesday night's Scotland today (feature starts at 3min 46sec).
