In common with sport, drama too is an important life skill, and, timetable permitting, we would like to make this opportunity available to even more members of the School. However, the highlight of this term has been the small Pringle production of The Witches, which Barbara and I thoroughly enjoyed. It was wonderful to see young people involved on and off the stage in this evening of great fun and there were some excellent touches, including a warm-up role play by two members of Chalmers West. I always think going to watch or listen to something live is so invigorating and inspiring. As ever, the sound, the pyrotechnics and the lighting, the movement and the choreography, in tandem with the acting, were extremely interesting and this all bodes so well for the future. Yet again, this evening illustrated the huge diversity of life and talent at Merchiston.
