Dinner

Menus are changed to tie in with each term.

  • We have reviewed the packed meals supplied. Each meal is now tailored to breakfast, lunch or dinner. The fruit content has increased by including fresh and dried. More liquids are packed especially water.

  • Fair-trade products are being used on a regular basis. We use teabags, drinking chocolate, chocolate bars and fresh coffee at present.

  • Food forums take place each term. We visit each house and Pringle Centre to get the pupils views. This is also an opportunity to encourage healthy eating and to remind pupils about waste and why we encourage taking one choice then returning for seconds.

  • We work on a "few" school functions through out the school year. Below is a sample of functions we do - Burns Supper, Prize Giving, House Dinners, Christmas Lunch, Commemoration weekend, Parent's dinners, Common Room Dinner

  • Feed back forms are issued after each function.
  • Smoothies are on three nights a week. Treats are put on some Saturday evenings i.e. sirloin steaks.

  • Suppers are available in the dining hall for senior boys Monday - Friday at 9.00pm.

  • We cater for all special diets. We encourage parents and pupils to discuss their requirements.

  • Staff have been involved in judging Master Chef at Pringle

  • Themed lunches are held each term in the dining hall.

  • Formal lunches are held in the old library for the Pringle Pupils. We try to tailor the menu where possible.
