Bike'n'hike

Mrs Bisset recently completed the silver level of the Maggie’s Monster Bike and Hike challenge, to raise funds for the Maggie’s Centres cancer support charity.  This involved 30 miles cycling followed by 22 hiking along the route of the Great Glen Way from Fort William to Inverness, as part of a team called “Bridesmaids Revisited”, a group of 4 friends who had all been bridesmaids to each other.  Each has had experience of cancer, either personally or with close family or friends.  After an 8am start, the team made it to Drumnadrochit at 9.35pm, in a time of 13hr 35mins.

In total, the team has raised over £4,000, of which the school contributed over £400 from this term’s whole school service.
