The Apprentice

We hear that former pupil Ben Clarke, who is now 23, is to appear on the new series of the TV show 'The Apprentice'. Ben, from Northern Ireland, joined Merchiston's Sixth Form in 2002.

Occupation: trainee stockbroker
Qualifications: BA (Hons) Economics & Business
Character: Rebellious, considers himself to be ruthless and money-obsessed. Once worked as a Gavin Henson lookalike.

The series starts on 25 March
