Politics

Following on from the AS exams there have been several Political Trips for L6 boys in particular, and some other interested boys throughout the school.  Last week the L6 Government and Politics set visited the Scottish Parliament where they sat in on a 'Health & Sport' committee session, and a debate on 'Small Business Initiatives in Scotland'.  They then went on to the High Court where they witnessed part of a murder trial (picture below).

On Wednesday evening, a group of boys went to the Royal College of Physicians on Queen Street to hear Cherie Blair talking about her Memoirs. She is pictured with Jamie (II Form).

One L6 pupil, Gregor, is getting a fuller insight into real life politics, as he is shadowing David McLetchie this week for his work experience.
