Our A-B rate at A Level is 79%, which we understand to be the best in Scotland.
Of our A Level candidates, 4 have gained places at Oxford and Cambridge, while 88% gained entry to their first choice of University.
The GCSE results saw 84% of all papers gain A*-B grades, with 98% of papers gaining A*-C, our tied best ever results.
Mrs Muetzelfeldt, our Director of Studies, was delighted with all the results, and particularly happy to see the consistency which has been seen at Merchiston over the past years continue.

Results days at Merchiston this year meant lots of good news! Boys arrived to collect their results, and there were many outstanding performances. Of the 67 boys taking A Level exams, 19 gained 3 or more grade As. At GCSE level, 18 boys gained at least 7 A and A* grades.
