 Unlike some fortunate schools, Merchiston does not possess large numbers of assets that can be realised for cash. It thus relies solely on its fee income and the generosity of donors for capital expediture.
Over the last 20 years, millions of pounds have been spent on capital projects. These, and future developments, have been and will be funded almost entirely by donations from well-wishers, many of whom come from the Merchistonian community and current or recent parents.
